Background
There plan was to snatch him and demand a good amount of money from his wealthy father. The three decided to strike on the evening of December 8th, 1963, just days before the assassination of john f. Kennedy. Frank was held for 54 hours in lake Tahoe. The kidnappers baited his famous father with many phone calls from different gas stations, asking for a ransom of $240,000. On December 11th frank was released. The story was on many of the front news pages, alongside with kenya's new independence from great britain which was a huge gift to build the "national culture center" that would later become called the kennedy center and the widow jackie kennedy's purchase of a home from georgetown for 190,00.
